Level 2 Courses
Level 2 is taken only after acheiving Level 1.
It is carried out on quiet roads with normal traffic patterns.
The course covers:
Starting and stopping a journey.
Awarness of everything around including behind whilst riding.
Understanding how and when to signal to other road users.
Road positioning, passing parked or slow moving cars.
Passing junctions and turning left and right at junctions.
Selection criteria for using carriageway and cycle lanes.
Mini roundabouts, pinchpoints and crossroads.
Being able to demonstrate verbally and practically safe cycling strategy.
Demonstrate an understanding of the Highway code, safety equipment and clothing.
Look all around including behind, signal left and right all of these without wobbling.
